In 2023 I had my very first highest cash month during the summer vacation season — while traveling between India, Turkey, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was the first time I truly experienced that my income didn’t have to depend on being online all the time, actively working, or posting daily on social media.

In 2024, I again had one of my highest cash months during vacation, while I wasn’t actively working for over a month.

This year (in 2025), it happened once more — but this time in circumstances I could have never predicted. This July, I had my highest cash months during the vacation season, and afterwards recovering from a severe jaw inflammation and dental intervention that left me in excruciating pain and resulted in the removal of two teeth. This was one of the most painful periods of my life, physically and emotionally, and yet, even though I was forced to slow down completely, my income didn’t dip.

Not only that, a few days ago, when I looked at my sales reports, I realised that between July 20th and August 20th, I had generated five figures in sales in only 30 days — entirely from instant-access digital offers – books and courses (that number doesn’t even include my private group coaching programs, royalty payments, or other income streams).

If this had happened at any other time, maybe it wouldn’t have touched me so deeply. But when I consider the timing, the challenges I was going through, and the fact that I wasn’t “working” in the usual sense — I wasn’t posting on social media at all since the beginning of June (even via automated channels) — then this milestone feels truly extraordinary.

In January 2025, I had all my social media content scheduled on Buffer until the end of the year. At the end of May, I was planning after publishing the digital issue of Sretna Žena Magazine: Iscjeljenje (on May 30th), to take a long summer break. Everything was ready: automated sales funnels, automation plugins on my websites, and automated social media posts were supposed to keep selling my programs and books while I was traveling and enjoying the summer.

And then… on the very same day that the new digital magazine issue was published, Facebook suspended my account. Overnight, everything stopped. My Facebook ads (which I ironically had only started running for the very first time on May 10th this year) — were paused. I lost access to three business pages and one Facebook group – in total more than 27,000 followers!

Forty days later, Facebook reactivated my account with the message that no rules were violated and: “We’re sorry you could not use Facebook.” But in the process, one of my main pages with over 10,000 followers was permanently deleted. It was such a painful reminder of how fragile it can be when you build on platforms you don’t control and the importance of social-proofing our business.

As if the Facebook suspension wasn’t enough, right before leaving for vacation in Turkey in July, my jaw swelled so badly that my face looked asymmetrical. I spent my vacation enjoying delicious Turkish food, exploring local markets, relaxing on the beautiful Kuşadası beaches, and visiting the ancient ruins of Ephesus — while on strong antibiotics and painkillers, and right after returning home I had to run for an urgent RTG scan, and then had two teeth (!) extracted. What followed were weeks of recovery in excruciating pain..

During all of this, I wasn’t posting on social media, and due to Facebook suspension and my page being deleted, even the automated posts were stopped. I wasn’t showing up in the way I usually do, and honestly – I was just trying to get through the days and heal.

And yet… July turned out to be my most profitable month of 2025.

Not only that, when checked the sales reports I realised that I had made five figures in just 30 days — purely from instant-access offers! While resting, healing, being occupied with ancestral property sale in August, and without posting on social media or live launches during June, July, and August!

This whole experience reminded me, once again, of the importance of slow living business model that I now live, embody, and teach:

• Our income should not depend on whether we post on social media.

• Our business should be set up in a way that it keeps working for us even when we can’t.

That’s the true freedom of online business. Not freedom as to (only) “work from anywhere” while still being glued to our laptop — but freedom as in having systems, automation, and digital products that support you while you rest, heal, or simply live your life.

This is what real freedom in business looks like.

A business that keeps supporting you financially (generates cash flow) even when life throws challenges your way.

A business that doesn’t stop – if you need to take time off.

A business and the body of work that can continue to serve your community even when you are offline.

While I was traveling, resting, and healing, even though my plan of pre-scheduled automated social media content on Buffer vanished into thin air after the suspension (and even when my Facebook account was reactivated, one of my Facebook pages with 10,000+ followers was permanently deleted – with hundreds of scheduled posts), my business kept running thanks to the systems I had set up:

• SEO-driven traffic to my website, blog posts, and articles

• Automated (sales and marketing) website plugins

• Automated sales funnels

• Automated email sequences

• Automated sales of my digital products (books and courses)

My body of work — blog posts, articles, email newsletters, digital books, online magazine, and online courses — continued to serve my community, readers, students, and customers even while I was offline. I kept receiving emails with thank-you notes from students and readers, filled with transformational stories and touching feedback.
